Just heard that cc matthews was a stock person at kroger as of a few months ago

Now i have never met the man but from the things i have heard he should be banned from radio for life!!!
He got fired from star in cincinnati. He would be so gleeful at firing people and just plain happy about it and when he would bring his kids in the kids would say my dad can fire you.How he got the job at salem is beyond me???

I will never forgive him for destroying she 93.1,one of the best stations louisville ever had i mean they played ani defranco and old 97s on commercial radio does not get better then that!!!The station made money so it just seems it was a personal vendetta.Kinda sad if true one man had this much power!!!

Now i feel bad for people having hard times but by all accounts this man deserves it!!!

Karma is a biotch

You know what? There are some bad stories floating around about CC. Maybe that's because he's been a PD for over 30 years. I sent him a tape in 1978 hoping to get overnights at KJ-100, and he had the wisdom to tell me I wasn't ready.

If you ever met the guy you'd probably like him. I did. And his friends speak really highly of him too. But that's the difference between hearing stories from people who only told their side versus seeing the way things really are and really knowing someone.

So yeah, CC is back in Cincy doing mornings at Star 93. Good for CC. And good for Star 93.3.

Good luck CC.

It seems to me, in this economic climate, anyone getting a decent job in radio is something to be celebrated. They're few and far between these days.

"If you ever met the guy you'd probably like him."

That would be a negative. Last I heard he was delivering pizzas in Cinci. Guess he got a promotion? I had the displeasure of working with him years ago, i guess he was my first PD. Ugh. What a trainwreck.

Damn the man said:

Maybe someone should tell the mystar933.com website people...he's listed with info "coming soon" on the air staff list. Maybe he's delivering pizza's in the evening?

If C.C. worked at a supermarket to support his family in these difficult times, he's my HERO! He certainly doesn't care about the opionion of someone who has never worked on the air a day in his life. Actually, C.C. would...but I sure don't. Congrats CC!!

A smart radio guy could turn working in a grocery store into a personal research project that would benefit him in his next broadcasting gig.

And, if this true, good for CC for taking a real job instead of sitting at home living off the government dole. I never met the guy, but that says a lot for his character.
