Just how pathetic is evening talk radio in this city

I totally agree. I don't remember him being like this on KLSX. He's also a political phony. When he was at KLSX he claimed to not be for building a border fence, and now suddenly he's for it now that he's at KFI.

I hate hypocrites and that is why I cannot stand him. He appears as a conservative guy, but spend most of his years under a constant haze of pot. When he was laid off from KFI he appeared on the Brian Whitman podcast endlessly praising Obama for his push for health care for the poor and unemployed, now that he is on a conservative station the guys slams Obama at every turn. Make up your mind idiot, but I guess he is like most other hypocrites, he'll be against it unless if it directly effects him and his family. Then he's all for it.

Let's see if I got this right. Left leaning talk radio is informative. Right leaning radio is hate talk. That's sound like the usual rhetoric I would expect.

Many on this thread got it right. Radio is entertainment! If you really listen to radio, be it Hendrie or Savage or whomever, you know what entertaining radio is. Only Dr. Savage can captivate listeners with stories like, "when pasta was spaghetti".

Bad radio is just painful. I just change the station...before my head explodes. Maybe you should too...

Talk radio at night in L.A. is a problem? Try coming over to Las Vegas on weekends! We don't get any traffic or weather on Saturdays and Sundays and yet this is when the roadways get filled up with out-of-towners that get into accidents and snarl traffic. What fills the airways on weekends... You guessed it "INFOMERCIALS". The freeway stops like a parking lot and you switch around and there's no information. At the top of the hour both KDWN/720 and KXNT/100.5and 840 AM go from the news right into the infomercials. Weekdays, there is coverage at the top & bottom of the hour and during drive time about every 8-10 minutes even on the music stations. But, not so on the weekends. :(

Wow, KDWN really doesn't give a rat's butt anymore. For a city like Vegas there are plenty of things to air that don't involve house flipping schemes and fad diet books.

The original poster doesn't show much love for Conway's show. Too bad. I listen nearly every night ... and I'm not even in the Los Angeles market. One of the best shows in radio, imo.

I agree. In addition to WDJJS, he now has the Kardashian recaps, which are hilarious. As is the Aaron Bender news hour.

I loved him and Brian Whitman on FM. Didn't think he could carry the show on his own, but he does! He's great alone or with Steckler. He does have talent.

I listen to Conway on KFI on the way home from work....in Vegas. I really enjoy his personality and attitude on the air. He is refreshing compared to Rush and Savage.

Conway did an hour on how the Kardahians get too much publicity. OK

I'm susprised Conway did not get into trouble when he called MSNBC's Chris Mathews "diabetese boy." Very classy TIM CONWAY...and you get mad wheen someone makes fun of your hairline.

I guess no one buys baby chickens anymore.

Try a Latino or Asian neighborhood. Plenty of stores selling live poultry.

Not too many Latino or Asian neighborhoods in Ottumwa, Iowa or Springfield, Ohio

Been a while since you visited Springfield, Ohio, eh?

Thriving Latino and Asian communities here.

Conway's obsession with MSNBC drives me crazy. Again, on KLSX he didn't spend nearly as much time dissecting clips from the abysmally-rated network. Tim, NOBODY CARES. MSNBC has terrible ratings, nobody's watching, nobody cares what anyone on there says but you. And for God's sake, learn to let the audio breathe for more than a few seconds before you add your commentary. This is supposed to be compelling radio? I can't take more than a few minutes before I change stations.

Micro analysing MSNBC quotes, Conway should analyze quotes from old McHale's Navy reruns instead. Wait, come to think of it, didn't Conway's daddy hang out with Ernest Borgnine? and weren't there allegations that Borgnine was a ......?

Obviously he doesn't have his fans on here. But just so you know, tonight at the end of the John and Ken Show, Tim was doing a teaser about the 80 mph winds we're supposed to have, and Ken said "Oh no! What are you going to do about your toupee?!!!!!"

Tons of laughter. He was a good sport about it. "That thing snapped a long time ago."
