Colorado Springs/Pueblo K-Love Air1/Radio Nueva Vida realignment in Colorado Springs and Pueblo

That rarity, a K-Love AM station, which is in the Colorado Springs/Pueblo market, is now airing a loop redirecting Air1 listeners to new FM frequencies. KJME (780) Fountain had been used to feed FM translators covering Colorado Springs and Pueblo. The redirect loop, noticed today during a routine band scan in Denver, directs listeners to KWRY (106.9) Pueblo and an FM translator on 103.1 in Colorado Springs. The 65-second loop also promotes the arrival of Radio Nueva Vida on the 780 frequency as well as on KRNX-FM (104.9) in the Pueblo market and a translator on 96.5 in Colorado Springs.

K-Love also has received FCC approval to change KJME's calls to KRNX, effective on Thursday, February 27.

Minor correction: I re-reviewed the recording I made and saw that the loop is exactly 60 seconds in length, not 65.

The switchover occurred as scheduled today (2/27); the AM is now using the KNRX call letters.

This may be the first Radio Nueva Vida outlet in Colorado; it's not listed (yet) on Radio Nueva Vida's website, which has no listings for Colorado otherwise.
