KABC To Air Both Pre-Season and Regular Season Rams Openers

The nationally televised ESPN NFL game between the Washington Redskins and L.A. Rams on 8/13 will be seen locally on KABC 7 that night. Coverage begins at 3:30pm with a 90-minute "Rams Homecoming" Special, followed by the game itself at 5pm, which WILL NOT be blacked out on the Southern California ESPN channels. ABC 7 also has similar plans one month later for the Rams season opener against the San Francisco 49's on 9/12 at 7:20pm. That will move the season opener for Dancing with the Stars.....somewhere else. (7-2 would be the logical choice since all so Cal cable systems carry it)

So the ESPN-ABC connection works for KABC, though just temporarily. Most Rams games will be shown on Fox, with a couple on NBC and CBS. This is a logical move by ABC-7.
