Kaedy is MORE than qualified to do ANY daypart. She is perfect for what the River is looking for.
She shouldn't have been off the air this long.

No reason why a female who pulled strong numbers in her years at Z93 can't do the same in AM drive. Outside of the River and WJZZ, everything will be either talk or syndicated (Hot 107.9 goes syndicated next month). She will be local.

Go, Kaedy, go!

Well I am pretty certain that a woman is not qualified to be our next president either... but that might not stop it from happening.

I think seabass is a very qualified troll who is getting exactly the response he wants. I suspect those who reply might be out of the loop on seabass. Seabass is doing a good job. I support seabass even if I may disagree with his assertion.

Was up in the Mountains this weekend, and on the way home I heard Kaedy do her spot introducing herself on The River...

CONGRATS!! I wasn't area for her PM Drive shift... but I've worked with her at the Zone for a while and she's a great person. Good to hear she's got back in front of a mic rather than a computer.

I'm just bummed now that I can barely get the River where I live.

With all due respect to Kaedy, if the format calls for mostly music with very little personality, why would anyone switch from what they're already listening to? Seems this move is mostly for appearances, endorsements, etc. It should have absolutely zero affect on their ratings since she'll barely get a chance to talk.

Two words: Zakk Tyler.

Most of the people here agree that Kaedy has a lot of personality. While Cox personalities have strict formatics to which they must adhere, they still have the opportunity to inject at least SOME personality into that tight mold. Look for Kaedy's personality to break through more than most. Kaedy brings name recognition to the position, and since people know who she is, she'll be more of a draw to Cox promotions, which are quietly the most successful part of 97.1 the River. Kaedy will be identified as 97.1 the River's Kaedy Kiely to the public. She will be the River's main connection with the Atlanta community and charity outreach. Essentially, she will be the spokesperson for the River, no matter what time of day she's on. They obviously can't use Kate McCarthy for that... and Chris Miller is too busy.
