Seems the owners of KAGZ have seen the "money demos" of KSLX and are patently ripping off their sound. And because KSLX is heard in many convenient stores throughout the Valley, the playing of Bollywood music is a very logical thing to do. For a more detailed analysis of what is going on at 14~Forty AM, please follow this link: http://radiodiscussions.com/smf/index.php?topic=113344.0

Just what if this were the start of another 127-paged-and-counting thread? And we are only on the foreword... and we look back at this a year from now and wonder how I knew this would happen?

But seriously, folks, take the Good Doc's advice and help us out on the current novel that is "A day in the life of a lamptimer" destined to be a New York Times' bestseller.

I'm gonna order my copy for Kindle-too heavy to carry the hardcover around!

Cammel backand 44st, secret radio station is there? 1440 is playing 80s and Bollywood, however the website says oldies? I am going to stack out the Jack in the BOX and find out what gives...

It's the forward by the Old Gringo that makes the book so voluminous (and heavy). Look for the iPhone and Android app coming soon to an Alpha-Beta near you.

And happy hunting to MC at the Londen Center Circle K. If you can't find the station that plays Bollywood there, at least you'll be well fed. Those hot dogs rotating on the pit look mighty tasty

Get a Thirst Buster Polar Pop and have a seat in the lobby. Then ask if you hear "Khushi Khushi" faintly down the hall, and sprint. Turn left, left, right, right, and right. Or right, left, right, right, right. Got that? ;)

Circle Jack - right great place to start an evening or end one. You wouldn't suspect that some of the mini-bottles at the "Circle" end up in the soda at the "Jack?"

Looks like klsx 100.7 is being simulcast on 1440 AM except when it is Bollywood music. I even heard Alice Cooper. Boy is he all over the area like white on rice.

I wonder if Arpeo will play the Bollywood music at the tent city? might go good with green baloney and pink underwear.

Riding the TICO bus to school down Cameback back in the day, we would refer to that building as the Circle Jack.

Usage: "Meet me at the Circle Jack at 4:30. They've got 2 tacos for 99 cents again."

Long live TICO. http://www.soltshirts.com/content/p/9/pid/1881/catid/563/Tico_Tshirt

That twofer at Circle Jack is still being offered after all these years. Guess that explains why the equine population near the Londen Center is dwindling ;)

Here's a tip of the fez to TICO. If you couldn't afford one of those pavers stamped with a sleeping stereotype, at least you could afford a bus ride. At $1.75 one way, Valley Metro is no bargain compared to TICO ...or the mystery meat tacos at Circle Jack!

Let me see if I got this straight..Find body in canal=rock music......No body in canal=oldies....What if you find a lamptimer in the canal?

Is it an "oldie station" if they feature Alice Cooper?

Alice Cooper, the band: Yes. They had hits on AM radio.
Alice Cooper, the singer: No. His solo career started after the end of the "oldies" era (1975 or thereabouts).
