KCBC What Kind of Rinky Dink Station Is This?

50 Kw on 770 and it's off the air from 10:30 PM until 5:00 AM? You can't automate that or carry Chirstian music as other Crawford stations due to fill the overnight hours? How rinky dink is that? CBC statons also seem to be the "format of the month" club. Take for example the gyrations at their WYDE.

According to the FCC database they are 50KW daytime, 1KW night. Their nighttime power and pattern misses the bay area that the daytime pattern and power reach. Maybe they just don't think it is worthwhile to stay on overnight.

I used to love it when stations went off at night, you could DX distant stations on that frequency. Now unless you're in the middle of nowhere distant reception is difficult at any time.

KCBC has had a Christian format since 1993. They used to sign off at Midnight but for some reason scaled back to 10:30PM. When KCBC was KPLA, They had a NEWS/TALK format and was on the air 24/7 between 1991 and 1993.
