Keene's WZBK AM/FM to Simulcast WKVT AM from Brattleboro

I think it's a great move. The future of FM is talk, and it's good to see an operator in a small market like Keene innovating like this.

Huh? The article says nothing about any talk going on FM. An AM station in Brattleboro is extending their range by simulcasting on an AM station in Keene. Both are fairly low power stations which only serve their immediate area.

Seems an odd move, I never thought of Keene as being home to a lot of left-wingers like Brattleboro is unless they're aiming for the KSC crowd.

WZBK has an FM translator. The stick is on the AM tower in Keene near Monadnock Marketplace. 103.1 IIRC. ZBK has squat for night power and the 1490 isn't audible in Keene at night so everyone wins. Keene State should provide a nice new listener base once they switch next month.

maybe they (KVT AM) will do better in Keene, 'cuz they're getting smoked in Brattleboro by TSA AM 1450 The Ticket......Sports>Politics any day of the week...

Rumor is this starts Monday.
