Keith Olbermann's "FOK News Channel" To Debut Tonight

Funny - just a few hours ago, I saw the GoDaddy.com "coming soon" parking page. It's probably in transition as we speak.

It's up, and it's a blog. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery - at least KO's page looks like that of a winner, visually. Can't speak for the content though.

Basically, it's a mini-version of his old MSNBC show, but in blog form. There's three segments: "The First Guess" which is kinda like his "special comment" (the topic of his initial "First Guess" is the Wisconsin union crisis); "Snappy Answers To Stupid Headlines" which is similar tot he repartee he dished out on "Countdown"; and "Worst Persons Of The Day" (I guess "Worst Persons In The World" is still the intellectual property of MSNBC ;D ).

It's only been only 20 minutes or so, and hundreds of people have tweeted the pages or liked them on Facebook.

In this case, I suspect that the imitation is intended to incite Fox News to sue "Fok News" for trademark infringement. The publicity that would result from such a lawsuit would be invaluable in terms of increasing public awareness of both Keith Olbermann's new website and his impending reappearance on Current.

FOK = Friends Of Keith

Thanks for the clarification, guys.

When I saw this, my first thought was typo and maybe Keith was going to face the lion in his den. My second thought was pronounce "FOK" and think maybe this was a commentary on you know who. ::)

He, and other liberals in the media, just can't let go of the fact that Fox News is beating them at their own game. And handily I might add.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but in this case, what does it say about the mental state of the imitator?

This is really pathetic. Why is he so obsessed with Fox News?
The man needs serious psychological help. Maybe he'll calm down a bit when he gets on Current.

Isn't everybody in the News/Talk business obsessed about something to the point we could say that they need psychological help? Apparently there is an FCC rule requiring the ability to "foam at the mouth".

Isn't everybody in the News/Talk audience that listens any significant amount of time obsessed about somethig to the point we could say that they need psychological help?

Want to share with out how your own mental health is these days? What do you get obsessed about?

My tolerance level is getting lower and lower every day. Just a little bid of News/Talk puts me over the edge these days.

That may be true, but perhaps Fox News has learned from their defeat when they sued Al Franken. If you recall, Fox sued Franken for copyright infringement for the title of his book "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them -A Fair & Balanced Look At the Right."
