Sad to see the show leave. I have listened to him at the other stations in Asheville and thought they were very good. He has a knack for getting good guests when able to. He has a "cult" following!! Sad day!! :( :( :'(

I suppose you can count me as part of that "cult" following. I consider Ken to be a dear friend, and I still listen to his show a couple times a week via internet. I truly hate to see him go.

SPINDOCTOR- I agree, that bunch Bagwellites will not give up, and I'm glad! Ken is a super nice guy! I wonder in the history of Asheville radio if anyone has been on that many stations in that short of time? He gets the award I think! WTZY, WWNC, WISE, WZNN. I seen an ad for a 10Kw AM for sale, everything fit the discription for 1350, I am guessing 1350 is for sale? ???

If it's the ad you saw on my website, no, that ain't 'ZNN. Sounds like it though!

And hey, if it WERE for sale, I'd have it listed, right? :)

Don't you get tired of using that same line over and over regarding that station?
Find a friggin salesman'woman worth their salt and they can sell ANYTHING...
Pick a format and stick with it for more than the change of underwear.
And if ANYONE knows underwear it's me. (Thought I'd say it before you did)

Tinky,Tinky,Tinky... don't you know that the the RF has rotted the creative side of my brain, and I can say nothing more for the ficklest market this side Middlesboro...

That is the first thing I have seen come out of that cheese dipped brain of yours that is correct.
Asheville is fickle, fickle, fickle. Must be all the "eccentric" people in the area...

Does Wilkey pull your panties out of your crack now that you don't have me to do it? I'm thinking about the BellSouth, thumbs and rearends, on the air with 6... oops 7 listners. Until I found out why you are the way you are, the potato throwing incident, I expected too much out of you.

On a serious note however it is a true broadcast pro that is at the station at 9pm when he got there at 5am. My hats off to you spindoc.

Are you tryin to saduuuusss me Mr. Mediatech? I am not coming back to work at WZNN/WZGM/WSUX or
whatever flavor Baskin-Robbins is putting out this week. Unless of course I can have Bill Fishburne
and Don Yelton as co-hosts and Matt Mittan running my board. Wow, what a show THAT would be!
Watch out Danny Fontana here I come!

Gentlemen, um, I mean, guys...take it easy. Don't make me separate the two of you like I did when you were installing my automation system and started nipping at each other like middle school girls. You two are more professional than this...act like it.

I suppose HRN is just making an attempt to find a niche in a market which is, as you say, fickle at best. Looks like they are programming some strange sort of AC now? I question the decision to focus on music. People ain't interested in the music on an AM station...it's as simple as that. I think the winning combination will be a focus on local news and content. The music is just secondary. Just my opinion, though. That station needs some love, and absentee ownership with no local staff just isn't going to cut it, no matter what.
