Perhaps the "tie-in" is the fact Ken Matthews will be on WPHT which is a Philadelphia radio station, and it is logical to place said information here since this is the Philadelphia message board. As for how this information effects anyone here, I interpret it to be simple information provided here for anyone who would like to tune-in and listen to Mr. Matthews on WPHT on July 4th.

So the question is, why is a top 40 disk jockey doing a one-day fill in on a right wing talk station? I've never heard him (B104 is the only Lehigh Valley FM NOT clearly heard in the northern suburbs due to 103.9 in Jenkintown), is he an 'opinionated' morning host or is this a new idea to audition for talk radio?

You make an excellent point; however, I believe you may have missed my point. The question I am responding is why was this topic placed in the Philadelphia message board instead of the Lehigh Valley / Reading message board since the host is well known in the Lehigh Valley / Reading area and not Philadelphia. You had even implied this topic should have been placed on the "other" board and not here. In all fairness to the thread creator, as I see it the topic was placed here because Ken Matthews will be on WPHT which is a Philadelphia radio station. Hence, the Philadelphia "tie-in" which explains why the topic was placed here.
