KESQ-TV Owner Buying KPSP-CD in Palm Springs

The sale price was $10 million. The Houstons purchased the station about 10 years ago for $14 million. As noted in the Desert Sun article it also includes Aztec America KYAV which KPSP took silent due to lack of cash. Look for it to return. News Press Gazette the parent corp. of Gulf California now controls most of the TV media in Palm Springs. 70 of the staff of 90 at KPSP were fired Tuesday.
 
There's no limit to how many LPTV stations one can own in a market - KPSP-CD is an LPTV station.
