KETK Polls Viewers On "Downfall Of America"

On Wednesday, KETK-TV/Tyler took an unusual poll on their morning show, as local radio host Garth Meier posed this question for their "Topic Of The Day" segment: "Will the acceptance of gays destroy America?"

No, really.

This is no different than that one news report years ago that cited a church that "threatened to shut down religion."

Paul knows his audience, and he's a well respected broadcaster. Moreover, it's a given that East Texans and residents of its largest city, Tyler, are by and large a conservative lot in politics and espouse "traditional" family values. That said, Garth made a big mistake. In the bigger cities of Texas the topic would probably have gone largely unnoticed.

If KETK hates gays, they have several that work there, in fact a few years ago the most flaming gay in East Texas was doing their movie revues on the 12pm news cast. So I guess that KETK is responsible for the destruction of America for putting that on the air!

The problem is that Green Acres Baptist Church rules Tyler with an iron fist!! No alchohol, no Joes Crab Shack (they didnt like the slogan), and now they want no gays!!!! I guess that they better not drive down 69 south to see the sign "This highway is sponsored by Tyler Area Gays"!!

Com Corp doesnt care if someone is gay or not. Justs show up for work, do your job! If someone is flaming, but good they will be hired there. I am actually surprised that the story didnt run on CBS 19 after all Phil Hurley was a member of Green Acres Baptist!
