KFYI airing kook conspiracy commercials...free energy..

How bad does KFYI need the $$? Over the weekend, I heard the kind of ad I would expect on KKNT or KPHX, yep, a secret THEY don't want you to know about. It starts with the guy giving his name and saying how much trouble he can be in, but he knows the SECRET that the power companies are suppressing free energy..yadda yadda yadda. Throw in the words conspiracy, and patriot and all the other kook buzzwords and this is pretty embarrassing for KFYI. And, this isn't just a midnight Coast to Coast thing, this was all day long.

Gotta wonder just how desperate KFYI is for some cash :eek:

If KFYI is here to make money, then what do they care how ridiculous their advertisers sound? Their money adds to the Income Statement just the same, doesn't it?
 
Well the NBO Barry Young would know about this, he proclaimed that the 24 mile skydive was "not science" so he might have evaluated the ad and gave it his seal of approval. I hear Young plans a similar dive without a space suit.

I heard a bit of Barely-there whining about the skydive and how it isn't science. He claims to be Mr. Dr. Science (or whatever words he has to use to beat the injunction), but then he also can't stand athiests. So, Barely can be scientific, and yet believe in supernatural invisible sky-men?

The show is much more intelligent when the good Barry (Markson) is there.

I think it's a smart business move -- i.e., essentially going for the KKNT/KFNX listeners. What's the difference between all the gold and prostate ads and a kooky conspiracy spot? A decimal point? They're a more profitable station than 92.3, with its can't-decide demo (besides, they're gearing up for their geezer Christmas special - would love to see the PPM's for 12/24 & 12/25.)

Yeah, the gold ads are pretty funny, the market has been in freefall, yet, its the same "you must buy gold now before "they" devalue your money, etc. And they teamed up with a very very dodgy company.
 
guess there needs to be an investment for those who don't have the million dollar portfolio that the kfwhyeye investment guy requires. I have $999,999,999.99 so the would not let me into the free seminar at the beautiful facility in Scottsdale. I want to hear about "going to cash" (will it fit in a suitcase?)

tnbo kind of talks like a carnival barker of a county fair "pitch item" salesman, get your slicer and dicer or your bracelet that cures arthritis.
