KGA off last night, a new log in it's place 10/8/2010

Last night about 9PM, while southern stations were booming in, 1510 KGA was off the air. OK, time to go to DX mode. Went outside and heard an Asian station. Found out that it was this new log (thanks Travis!)

1510: KSFN San Rafael, CA: Poor signal, peaking to fair with female Chinese talk and music. KGA off. New #371.
Distance-about 690 miles (looking at former KPIG distance)

There was another threshold in KSFN's null. Wonder if this was an extremely weak KSFN or KCKK Littleton, CO, a station Patrick Martin down in OR has logged many times?

Really sad. I remember hearing KGA booming in clear down the coast and as far away as Iowa. Now it's just, well, a memory.....

Since KGA reduced power to 15KW's nights (for the sake of the failed format on KPIG) they are just a ghost of what they used to be in the Vancouver area.

Bongwater.....I didn't know you were a DX'er too.
