KGMB, KHNL and KFVE/Honolulu's newscast now under one roof. Will others follow?

I only got to the Variety article, and I'm not sure what I think, except maybe stunned ??? ??? Stupider and weirder by the day. And thank goodness someone besides me noticed the sudden lack among the NBC O&O websites. I've completely given up on using the KXAS site for anything newsworthy.

I love how these self-appointed media advocacy groups stand around, wringing their hands, and saying, "Somebody has to do something." Diversity isn't free; one can't have diverse broadcasts unless a diverse group of people are willing to part with some cash to put the product on the air. If these groups are so concerned, instead of hiring a bunch of Washington lawyers to lobby the FCC, why don't they use their energy to round up a group to put a bid on the station? Or round up some advertisers to infuse money into the operations? Or get some money together and buy the station themselves?

You might be thinking: it's not that easy. And that would be correct, but that's what the owners of KGMB are up against as well. There are no easy choices, and regardless of which one is made, there will be some that won't like it anyway.
