KGO-AM Named to run the 2012 Season of the 49ers.

Answer: Joe Fonzi. KGO will run the 49ers games until the SF Giants season is over. As long as the G's are in the playoffs, NLCS and WS - KNBR will carry baseball and KGO will have the 49ers. I can't recall KGO ever airing Stanford. They've had Cal for at least 4 decades. Stanford has bounced around a bit over the past 30 years - they've been on 1050, 740 and maybe a couple of other places. I do remember that Stanford aired on KSFO when 560 had the Giants and 49ers. I don't recall who used to get the Stanford or 49er games when they conflicted with the Giants on KSFO. This would've been pre-1977.
