Kicks 105.5 Danbury rebrands as The Wolf Merges with Hudson Valley's The Wolf

This appears to make sense from a business point of view. Townsquare Media owns all 3 country stations. The article in RadioInsight points out that a competing broadcast in Danbury CT using 2 translators (The Bull) was beating WDBY 105.5 in the ratings (!). So Townsquare apparently felt that it would be better to use 105.5 extend the reach of The Wolf, rather than focusing on Danbury.. And adding WDBY's former morning personality Bill Trotta to the trimulcast gives them live and local programming for the daytime and early evening hours. Not to mention the money that is saved.
Listening to WDBY 105.5, it is having some technical issues. There are pauses between the songs, and no dj's this afternoon.
