Kim Glovis's unnecessarily girlish KYW TOH ID tweak

Really, Kim sounds like a little all-excited girl with that new KYW/KYW-HD/WYSP-HD TOH ID.

David Madden or the pleasantly low key Karin Phillips would have been a better fit for the new legal than Ms. Glovis if KY' insisted on one of their in-house talent. At least WCBS-AM's legal has attitude, as does WBZ-AM's.

I've also noticed a giddy/girly quality when WPHT's Cheryl Ann Kennedy pronounces the last syllable of her last name. Not so much the stress on the last syllable of her first name and her middle name, but I guess that carries over to the end of her name, for some reason...

The new legal id for KYW sounds annoying, particularly when followed immediately by the one we have known for 30 or so years. They apparently wanted a female voice for the contrast, so Karen Phillips would have been a good choice.

Do you know for sure it's Kim Glovis? I thought it was Michele Durham.

I agree - it's annoying.

They're paying Sean Caldwell to voice stuff on KYW, why not keep it consistant and have him do the ID (with Dick Covington, of course)?
