I guess it would be hard to run the #4 TV station in any market. Now that almost all of the major TV stations are digital and on some other UHF frequency than they use to be, some one in some corporate office could think channel 46 has just as good OTA signal as any Atlanta TV station (1000KW @300meters+):
Why aren't we getting the revenue like WAGA, or WXIA. IMHO nobody will catch WSB TV this decade (unless Cox does something stupid) but WAGA and WXIA could be targets. CBS is doing OK ratings wise so you just have to wonder, how much would it cost to improve the news cast (ratings wise)?
One thing they could do immediately to build credibility - drop the silly "Tough Questions" act. All those reporters with their tough-guy routines just come across as sophomoric, second rate and small market.
