KISS 95.1 "Charlotte's Most Desperate Radio Station"

OK, got it - I don't really know what they could do now, since Channel has the adult friendly CHR audience pretty much locked up with their playlist and morning show - not sure if CBS would want to go in an adult direction like that with Channel and The Link both getting that audience, and I doubt they'd want to go rhythmic leaning like their other big market stations (outside of Detroit) - I wouldn't want to be in their position...

I think Kiss should lean extremely young, since Channel now has the adult-friendly CHR audience locked up - same strategy as WMKS/Greensboro, WPLW/Raleigh, WWPW/Atlanta, etc.

People who want to hear Mumford and Of Monsters And Men are going to listen to Channel (since they're in power there), so Kiss should probably target the people who don't want to hear those tracks, instead of just teetering in the middle

They may need to give up on CHR and just flip to an altogether different format, whatever that may be. Perhaps a news/talk alternative to WBT, with a strong FM signal ... And speaking of FM signals, they appear to have abandoned plans to add an HD Radio version of their signal, as it seems they would have done so by now like the other CBS stations.
