KLBJ-AM New Garden Show (Cultivate Austin with Angelita)

It's been difficult for anyone to make a go of it in this time slot since Tom Spencer left for health reasons.
He certainly gave the show a unique vibe. Same goes for the TV show. Nothing against the later hosts, they all put on good shows and were experts, but a personality like Tom Spencer is just about impossible to replace. I read in one of the obits he had been at KLBJ for 30 years!

Thank you for posting the sad news about Tom Spencer's passing. I did not know about it until I read your post. I met Tom at a "Manor airport vs. Austin airport" meeting where he was the moderator of the meeting at the KLRU studio or a meeting room near the studio. He seemed to be a person that was always willing to help anyone and everyone and dedicated his life to helping others.
In the first couple shows Angelita has Kenny Rahmeyer as co-host.
