KLIF-570/Cumulus has CANCELED Coast-To-Coast, George Noory

I'm a HUGE Batchelor fan (and a geek, so it follows...).

I was disappointed about C2C getting the axe because I'm a night owl and at least tune it in for a few minutes every night. It's 95% tripe, sadly, but every now and then they have a genuinely interesting and rational guest. I have been listening via tunein.com, but I can still only take about 5 minutes of it when they start having their "mediums" and "psychics" and especially that bozo HOAGLAND (huge spit!). I always spit after speaking his name. Their "science adviser" is a guy who believes NASA has been lying to us for decades about the bases on the moon, the ancient civilization on Mars, etc. Every time I hear that guy's voice, I want to hurl!

But hey, I still liked knowing the show was there every night! It's a classic! :)

As I've said before, you can spin the dial at night and get Coast to Coast anywhere. So, no big loss.

WOAI booms into the Metroplex at night and rarely has a bad signal. So does WWL, but they rebroadcast Dave Ramsey overnight now.

You can also listen to the show stream online as well, I currently listen to the show on my iPod via the iHeartRadio App(KFI 640 AM/Los Angeles)...but I agree, Cumulus is just a bunch of cheapskates...

Batchelor sounds like a serious throwback, both in his delivery and his musical selection. (Which I confess I do not dislike). I thought at first because of his clipped delivery he was a Brit who became Americanized, but nope, born in Pennsylvania.

I've actually enjoyed c2c weekends since John B. Wells has taken over hosting duties. What stinks is that the local audience cant hear him OTA, I listen via my iPod to KFI, which has a better sound quality anyway. Heres hoping one of the local CC stations grabs the show overnights.

While it's not announced on the air, I understand John B. Wells does this show from the Dallas studio. It's a shame the program is not on in Dallas any more.

There's a lot going on for radio in Dallas. A number of stations have studios just North of the Galleria mall. The Dallas Clear Channel studios (KHKS, KZPS, KDMX, KEGL, etc.) are in a mid-rise building on the Dallas Parkway, North of LBJ - I-635, and just North of the Galleria. See the above link for a map. The ABC Radio Network (Radio Disney, Tom Joyner, etc.) is in another building to the East.

Actually Joyner's studio is not in the Cumulus Media building. Reach Media is located about a block or 2 down from Cumulus Media on Noel Road.

I'm originally from Dallas, now living in the Cincy area. C2C was just cancelled here by CC. It was replaced with a strange show called Ground Zero.
