KLove coming to Detroit via WMXD HD-2?

I've wondered if it's possible for EMF to put Air 1 on an HD channel in areas where they already have K-LOVE but aren't able to get a second frequency.

I can confirm that WMXD-HD2 is now airing K-Love. The previous format was Black Gospel.

EMF will be using the plethora of translators they own around the metro area to simulcast 92.3-HD2. These translators have been on the air simulcasting various commercial stations (several of them translate 98.7 "AMP Radio" WDZH, and one rebroadcasts a Classic Hits station in Lapeer which is 40-50 miles north of Detroit). The last time I checked, the translators weren't airing K-Love yet. But for CCM fans, it will be nice to have an alternative to WMUZ, which essentially becomes an all-Infomercials station on the weekends. And with Michigan's statewide Smile FM network soon to be setting up a couple of additional stations in Detroitland, CCM listeners will soon have a lot more options.

Personally when I'm in the mood for CCM I'll choose Family Life Radio's 1030 WUFL. Midland's 99.7 (WUGN) also booms into my neck of the woods frequently, sandwiched in between Detroit on 99.5 and Toledo on 99.9.
