KLSM-Tallulah/Vicksburg Khits 104.5 up their wattage

Don't expect a four fold increase in mileage coverage...it will be more like the square root of the power increase, or twice the mileage to the primary contour...maybe an additional 8 miles or so. I have heard class "a" stations actually outreach class C3 stations...whatever...good luck to them which they will need in that area. Cheers...JBI

The station went from 3000W to 25 kW. So, that's ~9 dB.

No. It won't double the coverage area. But, the City Grade now goes almost as far as the old 60 dBu did. That's certainly an improvement, I'm sure. In fact, with the new transmitter site -- a tad closer-in to Vicksburg, it will City Grade a nice chunk of the City.

So, yeah. Enjoy.
