Starting on September 4th KMJ-FM 105.9 will air sports, including College Football and The Oakland Raiders. There will be a sports talk show on Saturdays from 7-9 AM and will be hosted by Steve Gonzalez and will include Paul Loeffler and Alexan Balekian.

They were good oldies at first... But, more sports isn't going to save this sinking ship.
But are they REAL OLDIES (50's/60's rock & roll oldies) or the same Classic Hits (late 60's/70's/80's rock & roll) that most oldies stations play nowadays?

KMJ 105.9 did play music from the early 60s and some 50s occasionly, more than KABX would do.

This station is serving it's intended purpose. Keeping talent off of KYNO (I won't even mention 105.5, that station is a joke). Someday I think it will be a simulcast of 580.

Fresno is already covered well with sports, Funny thing you mention 105.5, that has 0.0 ratings, KMPH 840 in Modesto that carries almost the same line up has a .4 in the latest ratings in Fresno and is shutting down on August 31. 105.5 should go back to music, maybe to bring JACK-FM back that was on 105.9 or go AC. as for 105.9 as sports go with the exception of the Raiders broadcast, I don't seeing that going anywhere, look at the ratings for KFIG 1430 and sister station 790, and KCBL 1340 with the exception of carrying The Giants, The Dodgers, The Grizzlies, and The NFL they only get and over all rating of 1.0, 105.9 doesn't have a chance in sports, look what happen to KXEX 1550.

How many sports stations do we have to have??? I think three is enough!
