KMOV 4 Why do they air Young and Restless at 4 and TPIR at 11?

Why does CBS 4 KMOV air Price is Right at 11 and Young and Restless at 4? How long have they been doing this? Why can't they just air TPIR at 10 and Young and Restless at 11 like normal CBS station on central time do? Is KMOV considering just that since Montel is cancelled now?

KMOV has done this since the late '80s. "The Young and the Restless" is aired in the afternoon to give some competition to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on KSDK. WRAL in Raleigh and WLKY in Louisville also do this. I'm assuming KMOV airs "The Price Is Right" at 11 to provide a stong lead-in to the station's noon newscast. For many years, KMOV aired TPIR on a one-day delay at 11, which I always thought was strange since the show is fed at 10. I'm assuming KMOV airs TPIR on a same-day delay these days.

Don't know about now since Drew Carey is hosting, but the Bob Barker shows always aired a day delayed on KMOV. Where I am at, I can pick up Hannibal's CBS Affiliate KHQA Channel 7, and Channel 4 was always a day behind. I think TPIR moved to 11PM about the time Channel 4 was purchased by Viacom, and KMOX-TV became KMOV - I think that was about 1986.
