I saw on another radio forum I go to that KNPT is going off the air January 1st.
When I next tuned in, they had local spots, and were still obviously on the air, but there were at least one or two announcements per hour of the station's demise, and the announcement said that the other stations in the cluster were going off the air, too. Apparently their bank wouldn't continue the loan for their studio -- something like that. 75 years on the air and they're apparently not making enough money. The announcement says their advertising revenues have dropped more than 50% post pandemic.
Sad, really. They stream, and they have a translator, but it's not saving them.
