KNX News goes live from brand new studio & newsroom

Good to see and hear Mike Simpson. We worked together at KFBK in Sacramento 10-ish years ago.

Nice studio, too! Guessing it's on the same floor as the rest of KNX on Wilshire.

KNX is coming up on 20 years in that building, so it was probably time for some remodeling, especially since sister KCBS in San Francisco got all-new studios and offices earlier this year.

I've heard some pretty bad trainwrecks on KFI lately. Anchors don't have in-studio editors/writers to go over the script with, so the writing makes the anchors crash and burn — even the good drive-time anchors like Michael Crozier.

That's been pushing me more and more to KNX. I know Audacy hasn't been the kindest to KNX, but seeing this story gives me some home that they are putting some effort into their game. If there ever was a time to strike back at KFI, now is that time.
