I have always thought that a "all traffic" like the station in Vancouver would be nice. Also have report for the ferry, border, and passes etc all the time. and for all of them.

Have written on here before that I explored that in 1991/1992, when 1540 AM was on the block. Was looking for way to automate a loop that would be programmed by Metro Traffic, would reach I/5 & I/405 corridor. Even wanted to swap calls with Kirkland so it could go on the air as "KARR-154". But it was way ahead of its time...ultimately 1540 joined Everett 1230 and Enumclaw to start the "Country Gold Network".

Is there money to be made in telling people what they already know in that Seattle traffic sucks?

Traffic, weather, and business, and overnight Woodland Park Zoo chatter!

:D :D ;D ;D ;D You just made my day with that comment! Imagine tuning into 1090, at 1AM, and hearing chimpanzees with XEPRS under...

This has been one crappy year for radio in Seattle for this listener. First we lose the best oldies station the town has ever seen in the former KMCQ. Now we lose the other station I listened to most often, Progressive Talk AM 1090. I guess I will sign up for SIRIUS when my 3 month free trial is up. With the exception of KOMO, the rest of terrestrial radio in Seattle is sheer garbage.

well i did happen to find one progressive talk station still going in bellingham but thats bout it. you would need a super powerful am radio or antenna to get it. its 930 am

KBAI 930.....They should really stream their format......

they should but alas they arent so we dont get the signal or anything from them unless we are very close to them. i wonder if there is an am radio or am antenna powerful enough to get some of the am stations they mention on here
