KQV / KYW / KDKA - Why "K" Stations East Of Miss. River?

Due to flat and silty conditions, the Mississippi River has changed it's course many times over the years, creating
oxbow lakes and leaving little slices of states cut off on the wrong side of the water. Has this ever happened where
the result was that a K or W ended up on the wrong side?

Interesting thought.

To my knowledge it's never happened though.

The Miss. River may have done a few times during the decades. Has anybody seen what happened to the westernmost section of Kentucky?

Not related to K's & W's, but part of Kentucky lies north of the Ohio River immediately south of Evansville Indiana.
