KRCN's Scott Cortelyou Busted on Child Sex Charges

This is so sad. How dumb are people ? But, since Scott stabbed so many people in the back during his years in Denver...the Wheels of Justice may take a while to turn...but turn they do. I hope he enjoys the jail time.
 
YOU KNOW I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS VERY SAD. I KNOW SCOTT. I THINK HE IS A GREAT PERSON A VERY SMART MAN. HOW HE COULD DO THIS IS A MYSTERY TO ME. HE IS SMARTER THAN THAT I DONT KNOW WHAT HE WAS THINKIN. HE MADE A MISTAKE A VERY BIG MISTAKE AND I UNDERSTAND THAT BUT DONT BASH HIM. HE HAS BEEN VERY GOOD FRIEND TO ME. HE GAVE ME A RIDE WHEN I WAS STRANDED ONCE AND HE DIDNT EVEN KNOW ME. HE ALWAYS SAID IF I NEEDED ANY HELP I COULD GIVE HIM A CALL. LOOK PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES. I DONT THINK BY ANY MEANS THAT SCOTT WOULD HAVE ACTED ON THIS. THE THINGS HE WAS SAYIN WAS WRONG BUT I THINK IT WAS JUST TALK I HIGHLY DOUBT HE WOULD HAVE MADE PLANS ON MEETING THIS KID OR KIDS. ANYWAY THATS ALL I HAVE TO SAY I GUESS BESIDES THE FACT THAT I AM VERY WORRIED ABOUT HIM AND I WISH HIM WELL.

While there's no need to bash this guy (I don't know him or even know about him) you certainly can't defend him either. And there's absolutely no evidence suggesting that people who try to lure children into perverse, illegal encounters are "just talking". Don't believe me? Ask any cop. Better yet, ask the parent of any abused child. Or if you really want to know the dirty truth, ask any registered sex offender.

What we oughta do IMHO is not bash him or defend him, but pray for him and his family. If the allegations are true, then the man needs serious help.

This may sound fine, great & dandy Rick, but it doesn't change the fact that he's become a child sexual predator. Nothing will change that.

Just my opinion...
