The music played in the elevators at the building I work at was voted the number one station to listen to on the way to work.
Always lite.....it kinda' lulls you into sublime happiness.
I wish they would add more weather and traffic....

This reminds me of "Produce," a rap video on You Tube done by 2 young guys working for A&P. I saw it on Fox News Channel and thought it was hilarious. But A&P fired them and then sued; A&P said it made them look bad, but it was just 2 guys being silly (and creative), and having a good time.

Trust me gang!!!!! The music gets old pretty quick!!!!! When you work a 40 hour shift you know what is going to be played!!!! As I am doing shelf reviews, payroll, and sked and supervise you quickly know what songs are going to be played.... At our chain which is Kroger owned you may hear something good then something so out of place it is not even funny... I know that within an 8 hour shift I am going to hear Temptations, Four Tops, James Brown mixed in with who knows what... BTW don't forget the Deli Drive In Show every Sunday night ;D!!! CC1

I had a bite of lunch at Cap't D's yesterday and heard songs on their house system that I hadn't heard in years. It was probably produced especially for D's and not xm or sirius because the 30+ minutes I was
there, I heard nothing but back to back music with no talk what so ever.

There has to be some sneaky marketing research behind the tunes. I would guess that each and every song is carefully selected to make people feel like buying more stuff.

Were there any Eckerd Drug stores in Atlanta? While in the Tampa market, I always thought that if the commercial radio thing didn't work out for me, there was always Eckerd Radio. The jingles were pretty damn good, too.

It's true, though, Eckerd was taken over by Rite Aid. Awhile back, Eckerd itself took over the Genovese chain of drug stores.

So those are store announcements bleeding through the music on the supermarket radio? I thought it was just a result of weird tropo conditions!
