When I look at the current playlist for KLMY, it sure seems like a CHR. Does Astoria really need two stations with an almost identical playlist?

It's probably a smarter move. The area is going older from a demographics perspective, and the remaining 18-34's likely are streaming unedited versions of pop music, much fewer from radio.

My thoughts exactly. Most smaller towns don't really need a dedicated CHR station anymore. An all-encompassing hot AC does the job pretty well.

Most small towns used to have what amounted to a Hot AC anyway.
