This type of strategy has been tried before in other cities. The prime example is Washington, D.C. with Dan Snyder & the Redskins. Usually, the team(s) come crawling back to the stations with which they were previously affiliated or form new partnerships with major stations run by real broadcasters (example: Minnesota Twins).
