If this is true how can San Francisco or Washington for WTNT have 3 or 4 stations competing against each other for news

KSFO for Political News from ARNN
KCBS for Bay Area Politics, State Politics Crime, International and national News
KLIV San Jose for Silicon Valley News
KGO for Features and Human Interest stories.

No KLIV is not even a threat to KCBS in any way because the signal for KLIV only focuses in San Jose. Or KGO since they lost their FM signal 30 years ago on 103.7

I do agree KCBS is more worried about KQED in the ratings since they are on the top 5 in the SF books.

Roy Masters has a regular advice talkshow carried on TRN where he has advised women to put up with abuse because the man is the leader of the family and that it is the woman's role to be subservient to him.

America's News Network probably fits the KSFO model of rightwing talk. I understand that ex-KSFO staffer Melanie Morgan has been involved with TRN and America's News Network as a morning anchor.

Well Michael Savage Moved from KSFO-AM to TRN around 2000 when he wanted his talk show to go nationwide. But ARNN won't work in San Francisco because KCBS and KQED are on the top 5 in the SFO books. ALso ARNN won't work in DC because WTOP-FM and WAMU (NPR Station in DC) are on the top 5 in the DC market. Its like WEMP-FM in NYC but with Politically slanted to the right. WEMP-FM in NYC was TMZ News.

But Still ARNN can't get ratings in the San Francisco market. What works in Smaller Markets where a local news staff is considered rare cannot work in areas where there are 1 or 2 all-news stations providing local content for the market.

But does anybody care about ratings from 3 - 5 AM? Sounds like low cost filler to me.
