KSFV 27.2 switches from H&I HD to West HD

My TiVo Bolt is a little over eight years old, and was designed for OTA digital reception only (no cable card or the like). When I go into "signal strength" mode I get a digital signal capture but no decoding. I presume there is no easy way to determine if it's the conflicting signals -- I live close enough to the overlapping contours on the map for that to be probable -- or if they are using MPEG4.

I have a similar problem with KAZA, which channel shares RF 22 with KHTV-CD. Weigel owns all three via subsidiary LLCs, so if they are using MPEG4 for one, they would likely do it for all. But AFAIK there's nothing that I can do to determine that from here.

Possible clue: I live close enough to Mt. Wilson that I should be able to receive and decode KSCN/22 and KWHY/63 even though they are on RF 4. Again, the TiVo says it can capture the signal but it does not decode.

And why would anyone use a video format that is not universally compatible with existing tuners? Seems like a good way for them to lose viewership, from my POV.

Well, presuming Trip is his usual accurate self, that tells me that my TiVo does decode MPEG-4 ... OTOH, not all of the channels on the list are decoding.

And 22/63 apparently aren't MPEG-4, so it must be some issue related to their being on RF 4.

Great! I live exactly in the middle of the overlapping portion :( and I don't even get KEDD-LD (2 miles from my house) or anything on 27. MeTV Toons HD and H&I HD were the main two channels we used to watch on tv. Essentially because of Jewelry TV (KEDD-LD) I'm not able to watch MeTV Toons (KSFV).

I have in my roof an Antennas Direct ClearStream MAX-V Outdoor TV Antenna, UHF VHF Multi-Directional 60+miles. Maybe I should get a directional antenna so it blocks KEDD-LD?
