The news came down yesterday internally and was announced this afternoon with only a few hours to spare.
It was the market's UPN affiliate until their end, and struggled for years as an indie with low cable coverage and terrible programming rights, along with a 2010 bankruptcy petition, and currently a big mess with their parent company which also owns the Sun losing money and tangling within their joint operation agreement with the Review-Journal. The station was also apparently acquired by their parent company for an obscene amount of money considering they were a Class A operation.
