KTVU Won’t Renew Longtime Anchor Frank Somerville’s Contract

He doesn't know why his contract was not renewed? Really! Let's see...in the course of one year, he was "taken off air" for being too intoxicated during a newscast. Then there's his DUI and car crash with a blood alcohol level so high, it would make an elephant pass out. And then he gets suspended for inappropriate remarks about a murder case, that made the KTVU news director "question his news judgement".. Did he forget that an anchor is not supposed give their opinion on the news story being read.

He might want to deal with his alcohol problem during this time of unemployment. He seems to be in denial over that, and it's not a river in Egypt

True and sorry to see him go the way he did since he is a legend in the Bay Area.
Hope he recovers from the alcohol part though.
