KUOP-91.3 Stockton awaits buyer, Deadline for proposals to purchase radio station looming
As I reported here two months ago, UOP has put KUOP-91.3 on the block and the Feb. 1 deadline is coming up. In an article about KUOP in the local paper reports that not only is the LMA partner, Capital Public Radio interested, but so is KQED in San Francisco and a Christian Radio Network: EMF Broadcasting. The article charts out the history of KUOP starting in 1947 as KCVN(They also claim to be the first noncommercial/educational station in California. Is this true? Also they claim that KUOP became the first noncommercial station in the West Coast to broadcast in Stereo in 1964. Is this true also?
