KVET-AM, The Zone hires new PD...and its a familiar name.

Jon Madani is the new PD for The Zone. Jon was one of the original personalities when KVET-AM switched from news/talk to sports. After several years has a host on the Zone and even a stint as sideline reporter on the UT Football broadcasts, Jon left to head to ESPN (the real one in Bristol). After about a year and a half there, he returned to Austin and helped flip then 1260 am to ESPN Austin on 1530 (1260 now is a ESPN Deportes). Jon has since spent time in Memphis and Little Rock at sports stations and was most recently at the ESPN affiliate in Houston before returning to Austin. Jon grew up here so this is home to him.

Finally a good move by CC management for the Zone. Good luck to Jon....he's gonna need it.
