A month after the big ribbon-cutting to their new building, Ch.5 and Ch.39 will begin airing newscasts from their new sets starting Sunday night. Pictures were posted online as a preview (appearing as a slideshow).

The article says Sunday evening, and I read or heard somewhere that it would be after Sunday Night Football. I've heard nothing about what their plans are for newscasts in-between.

They were either using a temp set or the new set tonight (Saturday) but they used very tight shots for the news and sports anchors, to not show anything off before Sunday's official debut. Graphics were tweaked, music is the same.

It was the new set, but it was all done with static shots on the news, weather and sports people. No movement, no wide shots, nothing like a normal newscast.

No mention that it was on the new set either.
