A special treat coming up this Saturday, November 25,
for fans of the old KXOL-1360 in Fort Worth, and for
JFK assassination buffs...For the first time in 43
years, original recordings from November 22-24, 1963
will once again play over 1360AM (now known as KMNY,
part of the BizRadio Network.) Russ Bloxom, later a
longtime WBAP-TV/KXAS-TV anchor, was on duty at the
KXOL newsdesk that fateful Friday, and thoughtfully
called home once things slowed down to have his wife
Sanda roll tape. Russ is sharing those tapes with
"The Hi-Fi Club" for a special presentation this
Saturday from 1-3PM. Tune in to KMNY-1360 in
Dallas-Fort Worth, or go to the live internet stream
at http://www.bizradio1320.com/dallas/dallas2.asx .
I'll be hosting alongside Texas radio vet Ray
Whitworth, and we'll also have some brand new
commentary from Russ Bloxom himself! Check out The
Hi-Fi Club's website at www.thehificlub.net for more
information, and to find out where you can hear future
Hi-Fi programs.

Any word on this being done in Houston? Perhaps on KXYZ 1320 in simulcast with KMNY? You know, JFK's last stop before that fateful day in Dallas, was Houston.

Funny you should mention that...we were given the option of doing a simulcast with KXYZ, but turned it down in favor of a better timeslot to air only on KMNY. HOWEVER...you can pull up the Dallas stream from anywhere, unless you're still on dial-up like me...
