KYMK 106.3 in Lafayette looses land lease to tower.

They say there is a dispute with the landlord? Isnt that the same reason they abruptly moved the studios? They applied for a emergency STA to broadcast at 100 watts from downtown Lafayette but were denied.......... HMMMMM Me thinks a ceratin Lafayette radio cluster may be dark soon?!?!?!  :-\

Or scaled back as I'm surprised Pittman having so many issues in Lafayette as I haven't heard of any issues with the Northshore version of his stations yet

They may have lost their lease, but they're on the air from somewhere. I checked it out yesterday.
I heard that KVOL was off.
Who knows with the __________Dr.

I think they are operating from downtown on the Chase Bank office tower as they had applied for in their STA app. The FCC noted that the location of the STA transmitter was outside of their regular 60db contour and thats why they were denied.

As far as their tower near Kaplan, Pittman owns the tower but not the land it sits on. I think my thoughts from a previous post are coming to fruition, Lafayette has too many radio stations and someone is going to be the odd man out. In this case I think Pittmans whole cluster may be in peril.
