KYW 1060 AM to broadcast music soundtrack of Penn's Landing Fireworks tonight

KYW 1060 AM will broadcast the musical soundtrack to the Penn's Landing fireworks at midnight tonight. It was on the Philly FM stations for years. Press Release: http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/061205/109908.html
I heard it when I got in my car. I was suprised to hear music on KYW. I figured the news staff took a 20 minute break to have a toast, until the end when the announcer went over the sponsors.

"Honey, where's our portable AM radio at? We need to get to Penns Landing early to find a spot not near any power lines, orange street lights, neon signs, parking garages, or computer monitors so we can listen to music in mono for the fireworks."

Julius, I'm surprised you didn't post anything about KYW's live coverage of Pres. Ford's funeral coverage. It was great Saturday night listening to out-of-town funeral play-by-play on the radio instead of hearing traffic & transit on the 2's, which I needed.

KYW is a bad station. I went outside and got wet and I turned on KYW to find out if it was raining. There was no AccuWeather because KYW was playing music. Philadelphia is the number seven market and we deserve to have weather every 10 minutes. Call KYW and tell them to stop playing music on New Year's Eve. What do you think?
