LA Angels buy up FanDuel Sports West.

They are going to run the network and keep the FanDuel Name. Along with the Angels games, they will also have The LA Kings next season. FanDuel SoCal is still set to go dark at the end of the NBA season, and the Clippers may move to Spectrum LA to run with the Dodgers (that is pure speculation based on rumors I have heard). Will be interesting to see what they run besides live sports, without any national FanDuel programming.

You'd be surprised how much sports-related content there is out there. A lot of RSNs run the various poker shows that are available. They can check in with similar team-owned stations, such as YES or NESN and see how they fill the time. Being so close to LA, there are a lot of independent TV producers who would love to create programming for a new channel. They can also broaden the view to programming being made in other countries. Other options are simply sign off or run brokered programming.

Like the rest of television and judging how Angels management is, I don’t see them being that creative. It’s so much cheaper to just simulcast radio shows all day

Are the L.A. Angels the first team to own a TV network and a radio station? You got this, FDSN West, with 830 KLAA.

I think the Blue Jays have one too via Rogers' Sportsnet and 590 CJCL.
