La Cadena de Familia expands to Texas - KZAM Pleasant Falls first outlet

See Seattle thread...
Based on my listening to the Seattle-based national feed the new signal is KZAM 98.7 in Wichita Falls , Texas (COL Pleasant Falls TX). This is a Class A. The Seattle people are "testing it" under a pseudo-LMA.

They talk about adding three more Texas-based signals: Amarillo, Abilene and one other city I missed.

Wonder if the Amarillo station might be Cumulus’ currently silent KPUR 1440.

Abilene might be Townsquare’s KSLI 1280, also currently silent.

There are a couple of silent Cumulus AMs in Beaumont/Port Arthur, KIKR 1450 and KBED 1510.

Plenty of basket case AMs in Texas to choose from.

The group seems to focus on FMs now, although they just bought a 25 kw AM flamethrower in the Willamette Valley of Oregon , near Salem.

Considering KZAM is the last remaining license of Maria Guel, I would look for other Guel associated licensees to expect where they're going next.

KQRR 1130 is a flamethrower during the day aiming at Portland, but a 490 watt water pistol at night, doing a 180 on its directional pattern to cover Salem with no Portland coverage.

No idea what FM would be available in Amarillo, unless one of the distant rimshots. Not familiar enough with the FM scene in Abilene to make a guess.

Gotta pay those fees first before any sale. Here's this notice. KOLI would sound like a better deal for Tu Familia FM.

Adopted: March 24, 2026 Released: March 24, 2026
By the Chief, Media Bureau and the Managing Director, Office of Managing Director:

1. By this Order to Pay or to Show Cause, we initiate a proceeding to revoke the license
held by Mekaddesh Group Corporation (Licensee) for KZAM(FM), Pleasant Valley, Texas (Station), for
failure to pay delinquent regulatory fees and associated interest, administrative costs, and penalties owed
to the Federal Communications Commission (Commission). Licensee formerly held licenses for
DKEVK-FM, Sanderson, Texas; DKEVQ-FM, Crosbyton, Texas; DKYLQ(FM), Encinal, Texas;
DKEVM-FM, Junction, Texas; DKWFG-FM, Knox City, Texas; DKDSP-FM, Spur, Texas;
DKYLB(FM), Turkey, Texas; and DKZAU-LD, Killeen, Texas, and has unpaid regulatory fees those
stations as well.

For the reasons set forth below, we direct Licensee to pay the overdue regulatory fees,
including any associated interest, penalties, and administrative costs, or show cause why the payment
demanded is inapplicable or should otherwise be waived or deferred.

Unless K-Love Inc. wants it for Radio Nueva Vida.

I realize K-Love is already on another station in Wichita Falls, but, if it were to move K-Love to 94.9, you could drive from Wichita Falls to past Dallas and never have to move off of 94.9. Last time I made that trip, 94.9 wasn't yet on-air, but seems like I've been told that, on a good car radio, the two 94.9's were a lot like driving between Dallas and Austin with your radio on 103.7 in the 70's and early 80's when you'd always hear something. You just didn't know if it would be KVIL or KRMH!
