Labor Day Weekend came and went, and I-92 WLWI is still here...

In January of 2013, WFME in New York became the first of the country-formatted Nash-FM stations (as WNSH). The rumors of WLWI becoming "Nash" turned out to be false. For several months, there were rumors here in Los Angeles that "Nash" was coming to town, possibly replacing the classic rock format on KLOS. Those rumors, too, turned out to be false. But heck, that's why rumors are called "rumors." ;)

Maybe the managers at WLWI decided against switching to the Nash-FM format after reading how poorly the flagship station is doing in New York:

. Nash's NYC performance isn't going to affect the decision to do it here in Alabama at all. Given how 94.7 isn't even a full market signal, 1) it's almost a vanity project for the Nash FM brand, and 2) the cume that Nash FM NYC has should be seen as a success, as the format has been absent there for almost twenty years.
