Diva/BR vs. Diva/New Orleans

Not quite sure what Citadel is thinking with this one, considering that Diva @ 103-3 sounds almost exactly like Diva 92.3. If anything 103-3 sounds a little less aggressive on newer dance music (although that could change in the coming days). Both of them cover a similar area, so you gotta wonder if Diva/New Orleans may be on the move to another frequency (106.1 or 106.7) at some point in time.

Personally it'll be interesting to see if the 2 Divas will affect the Baton Rouge area. But then again Citadel might leave WDVW where it is.

As for whether WDVW will move to either 106.1 or 106.7 i'll leave that a question mark since Citadel haven't decided on whether they'll also hang on to WPRF/WOPR's Gospel format and move it over to those signals.

In a way this is good news for the Dance community after seeing the losses of WQSX/Boston and WPYM/Miami. And already WDVW is doing well in the New Orleans Arbs so one can expect the same kind of success for its counterpart in Baton Rouge.

I find diva 103 more dance oriented than 923.

I wouldn't expect that. The N.O. Diva booms in B.R. clear as a bell, and was pulling around a 2 share. If both stations sound overall the same, will it grow or just split the difference?

I don't have high hopes for Diva in B.R. If you couldn't pick up the N.O. Diva so well in the Red Stick, I might think differently.
