Las Vegas radio station claims Michael Savage "racist" in promo?

During the Mark Levine radio show, Las Vegas radio station kxnt runs a bumper promo that has a female voice saying "not racist radio, just great radio, now back to the great one, Mark Levine."

Vegas station kdwn runs Savage from 3 to 7 pm PT (repeats last hour) against kxnt that runs Levine 3 to 5 pm. At 5pm they have some kind of brokered show done by a guy that has an insect spraying business as a day job.

The 3 to 7 spot is the only time kdwn beats kxnt in ratings.

It is interesting that a so-called conservative station throws around charges of racism. I wonder if sue happy Savage will take legal action? I called his show and the call-screener said they know about the situation.

Some stations like kfyi in Phoenix run both Savage and Levine, so I think the Savage Levine fight is being tempered by money matters.

M = Interesting! Please keep the board posted. Savage and his entire lawsuit is a disgrace to the industry. Can you imagine such a thing happening in the old TALKNET and DAYNET days of the late 1980's? Goodness, talk radio had really taken a turn for the worst.
It's terrible. If I was a PD and a host started suing like Savage is, and pleading for monies for his law suit, I'd fire them. When you start a political crusade by way of a law suit on your program, then you have crossed a line, and it's time to say goodbye. T
 
kdwn did do a promo of Savage bashing Limpbaugh as a water carrier for Bush when they changed ownership.

So I guess you'd fire John and Ken, perhaps the most listened to local afternoon show in the country.

If the promo is exactly as you say "not racist radio, just great radio..." how is that a charge of racism? It just says Levine isn't racist. It doesn't say Savage or anyone else is racist. How could Savage take legal action if he's not mentioned?
